Module Views and Filters
A view is a particular way of looking at your module's data. You can create multiple views for the same module, each with its own layout, filters, grouping, and sorting, without changing the underlying data.
View types
A view can be either a Table or a Kanban board, and each can display either Records or Activities. This gives you four possible combinations:
- Records Table
- Activities Table
- Records Kanban
- Activities Kanban
Creating and switching views
Click the + in the view tab bar at the top of a module to create a new view.
Give it a name, choose Table or Kanban, and choose whether it displays Records or Activities.
Depending on your selection, you may also configure:
- Which activity group an Activities view should display
- Whether an Activities Table should show the parent record
- Which field a Kanban board should group by
To switch views, simply select another tab.
Each view also has a ⋮ menu where you can rename, edit, or delete it.
Building saved filters
Open Edit view to configure filters that are saved as part of the view.
Everyone who opens that view sees the same filtered results until someone edits the saved filters again.
Available filter operators depend on the field type. For example, text fields support conditions such as contains, number fields support comparison operators, and date fields support both fixed and relative conditions like Today, Yesterday, or This Month.
Saved filters can be combined using both AND and OR logic, allowing you to build more complex filter rules.
Quick Filters
The All filters button in the toolbar provides a quick way to temporarily filter the current view.
Unlike saved filters, Quick Filters don't use operators. Instead, you simply select the values you want to include.
A few things to know:
- Selecting multiple values within the same column uses OR logic.
- Filters across different columns are combined using AND logic.
- Quick Filters are applied on top of the view's saved filters rather than replacing them.
- Quick Filters are temporary and reset when you reload the page or switch to another view.
- When Quick Filters are active, the All filters button shows how many filters are applied, and each filtered column displays how many values are selected. Use Clear all to remove only the Quick Filters while leaving the view's saved filters unchanged.
The "Me" filter
For User columns, both saved filters and Quick Filters support a special Me option.
Instead of filtering for a specific person, Me automatically resolves to whoever is currently viewing the module. This makes it easy to create shared views such as My Open Tasks, where every team member sees only their own work.
Grouping and sorting
Views can be grouped by a single field. Supported field types include Select, Multi-select, User, Linked Record, Lookup, and Rollup.
You can also apply multiple sort rules by choosing a field and whether it should be sorted in ascending or descending order.
Favoriting views
Click the star icon to favorite a view and keep it near the beginning of the tab bar.
If you create more views than fit across the screen, the remaining views appear in the All views menu, where you can search, open, or favorite them.
