Creating Your First Dashboard
Dashboards let you bring together data from one or more modules into a single visual workspace using configurable widgets.
Creating a dashboard
Go to Dashboards in the navigation, click New Dashboard, and give it a name. You'll land on your new, empty dashboard.
Adding a widget
Click Add Widget. Choose a widget type, or add a Section to organize your dashboard into groups.
Next, select one or more modules as the widget's data source. If you choose multiple modules, Teamo automatically maps matching fields so the data can be displayed together, even across different schemas.
Once the widget is added, click its gear icon to configure it. The available settings depend on the widget type.
Configuring each widget type
KPI
Displays a single metric. Choose whether to show a record count, sum, average, minimum, or maximum. If you choose anything other than a count, select the numeric field to calculate from. You can also compare the value against a previous period or a target.
Table
Displays your data in a table. Choose which fields to display, optionally rename them, reorder them, sort the results, and set a row limit (up to 500, default 50). You can also choose whether clicking a row opens the corresponding record.
Bar Chart
Group data by any supported field and display the result as counts, sums, or averages. You can optionally stack bars, switch between vertical and horizontal layouts, limit the number of bars shown (up to 100), and group date fields by day, week, or month.
Pie Chart
Group data into slices using any supported field and display either record counts or the sum of a numeric field. You can limit the number of slices shown (2–20) and choose day, week, or month grouping for date fields.
Gantt
Visualize work over time using planned and/or actual timeline fields. Choose how each row is labeled, whether to display records only or include nested activities, and optionally group or color the chart using another field.
Workload
Visualize workload across people or teams. Choose the assignee field, a date field, and whether workload is measured by the number of assigned tasks or by a numeric weight field. You can also choose the timeline granularity (day, week, or month).
Calendar
Display records on a calendar using a date or timeline field. Choose the default view (month, week, or year), optionally color events by another field, and decide which fields appear when someone opens an event.
Text
Add formatted text anywhere on your dashboard for headings, notes, or callouts. Unlike other widgets, Text widgets don't pull data from modules.
Filtering a widget
Each widget has its own filters, independent of any filters applied to module views.
Available filter conditions depend on the field type. For example, text fields support conditions such as contains, number fields support comparison operators, and date fields support relative filters such as Today, This Week, and This Month.
All widget filters are combined using AND logic.
Arranging your dashboard
Drag widgets by their handles to reposition them, and resize them from the corner. Dashboards use a 12-column grid, so widgets automatically snap into place.
You can edit a widget at any time by clicking its gear icon.
Using Amo to build one for you
Click Build with Amo and describe the dashboard you'd like to create.
Amo generates a draft and presents a summary of the dashboard, including its title, description, sections, and widgets. You can save the draft or regenerate it by submitting a new prompt.
Current limitations
Dashboards currently work across your organization's data rather than being tied to a single module, and there is no limit to the number of dashboards or widgets you can create.
Dashboards are also internal only. If you need to share reporting externally, use a Portal instead, which provides its own set of reporting widgets designed for external users.
